2026 Writing Log, Part Twenty

rynling- I wrote the opening sections of Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 of The Archives of Hyrule, a Tears of the Kingdom Modern AU story. Progress is slow, but I’m finding my way forward.
- Just for my own amusement, I started writing a short story about Silksong titled “Her Father’s Daughter,” which is about Hornet making her first set of Cogflies while wondering if she’s putting herself in the same sorry position in the Citadel that her father did in Hallownest.
- This week’s post on my book review blog (here) is about Beautiful Distance, which is a short novel about a man in his 40s watching his wife die of cancer. Despite the bleak situation, it’s a very soft and gentle book, and I feel like my life is richer for having read it.
- This took forever, but I finally finished my Twilight Princess x Revolutionary Girl Utena drawing. It’s (here) on Tumblr if you’d like to see a big sword and shojo sparkles.
Not much to report this week. I’m just taking it easy.
This weekend I'm planning on dropping by Philadelphia Renaissance Faire for one purpose: they're supposed to have a petting zoo, and I pet the goats! Please wish me luck. 🐐
