Fandom is so weird because depending on when you create content for it, the exposure changes. Like if it's in that small time frame shortly after it's first released, people gobble anything and everything up. A year or two after the fact? Not so much, unless you're lucky. I also feel like so many of the "big" fandoms are just not my thing, either. Like with video games, Dragon Age and Mass Effect are huge and while I enjoy both games, I've never had massive urges to write stories for them. It's usually in the smaller fandoms and/or with not as popular ships. So I'm not sure what would be the best method for exposure :\ I love Pokemon, but I'm also not familiar enough with the fandom to know if a comic would take off. I remember people making a few when Pokemon Go was first released and those were popular, but again, back to the idea that people consume everything when it's new and shiny. Not easy to figure out, that's for sure.
