I've only read two books this year so far written by straight men and I despised one of them and barely tolerated the other one. I'm definitely double checking authors before I read something. It's like night and freaking day, I swear. I've been digging hardcore for books written by people who aren't straight men and I've been super pleased with what I've found so far. What a damn difference it makes.
