The Uncle Who Works for Nintendo

This is a free Twine horror game from 2014 that takes about ten to fifteen minutes to play. There are five different endings that range from "things get weird but nothing happens" to "things get very weird and horrible things happen." The game keeps track of which endings you've seen, and you can unlock a secret sixth ending that's the most horrible ending of all.

Since the game is so short, probably the less said the better, but the game has its own Wikipedia page if you're interested in the plot. I'm usually not a big fan of Twine games, but I really enjoyed this one.

Also, this is apparently the creator's follow-up to a cult classic:

My Father's Long, Long Legs

This is another Twine game, and it's split into a linear narrative first half and a more interactive second half. The first half takes about fifteen minutes to read, and I wasn't actually able to make it to the end of the second half. You can't play this on a touchscreen, and you apparently need to have an appropriate set of browser settings to be able to finish it. Still, even with these limitations, it's a very unsettling story and an extremely well-written piece of fiction.
