"Over-arranged" is the perfect way to put it. I'm afraid I might have a bit of trouble listening to the album now, but it meant a lot to me when I was twelve years old. That's one of the reasons the poor performance and sound quality on the pixel remaster bothers me. People think kids are stupid when it comes to entertainment media (and they're not always wrong), but even twelve-year-olds can appreciate when something is done well.
