What Just Happened
Dec. 18th, 2014 07:08 amRyan North was kind of a dick to me on Tumblr.
I responded to a response that was a response of a response to a response regarding a section of one of the Dinosaur Comics that someone had posted with commentary, and North reblogged my post with a mean joke from Homestuck that strongly implied I was making an ass of myself by having completely failed to grasp the ironic humor of the original comic strip.
This is itself ironic, because my own response was an ironic joke. There was like, so much irony. There were doubled double negatives of irony. There was at least enough irony to fill a bathtub and have some spill onto the floor.
But I still got my feelings hurt.
Ryan North is one of my favorite writers. I own physical copies of just about everything he's written. I got into Adventure Time because of him, and Adventure Time has been a major creative influence in my life for the past two years. I'm having trouble processing the fact that North was an asshole to me personally.
It's like the world I live in now is not the same world that I woke up in this morning.
