After a series of misadventures, I came down with pneumonia, so this past week has been mostly about me sleeping twelve hours a day. I've barely managed to keep up with my actual work, but I was somehow able to stay awake for a few extra minutes...

- The first thing I did when I sat down at my desk on Monday morning was to pitch my essay about Wind Waker to FemHype. Their head editor (who is a superhero of a human being) responded by saying some very nice things, which gave me life, and the essay was posted to the site yesterday afternoon, woot woot. It didn't get much traction on Twitter, but it did slightly better on Tumblr, where it received a good four dozen notes. I hope it's not hubris to say that it would probably do a bit better if I reblogged it... but I'm not sure how I feel about that.

- I finished the fourth chapter of the book on Wind Waker. This is a much better chapter than the last one! I'm starting to realize what I need to do to make each chapter stronger. Before I go back and start editing, though, I think I'd like to move forward a bit more.

- I commissioned Chat-en-rose on Tumblr to draw a picture of the Zelda from Skyward Sword comforting the Zelda from Breath of the Wild, and oh man did she ever come up with something incredible. It's almost ridiculous how much I adore this artist, but then again she creates the most adorable Zelda art, so I can't really be blamed.

This week was sickness, and last week was sickness, and next week will more than likely be sickness as well. I am so tired of being sick. Thankfully the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer, and soon I will be able to photosynthesize energy from sunlight. Until then, my main goal is to stay hydrated.
