2017 Weekly Writing Log, Part 38
Oct. 22nd, 2017 09:18 pm- I finished writing the fifteenth chapter of The Legend of the Princess. This chapter got kind of long almost like an actual chapter in an actual novel. It's too late to post it tonight, so I'll post it on Tuesday or Wednesday.
- It's apparently grad school application and job hunting season, and I wrote a ton of reference letters this week, at least one a day. I'm always a little embarrassed when someone asks me to be a reference, because what do I know about anyone or anything, but I did my best.
- A novella-length translation I put together a few years ago is finally finding its way into print, and this week I sent the second draft of my translator's introduction to the journal editor. I'm starting to get the feeling that this person may not be playing with a full deck, and I'm not entirely sure that this project is actually going to see the light of day, but I guess we'll all find out together.
- I posted a short comic based on the opening of Superstar Saga that strongly suggests Peach and Bowser are dating. In my defense, the game itself isn't particularly subtle about this either.
- When I scanned this comic on Thursday evening I decided it was too ridiculous to spend time on, so I slapped down some flat colors and called it a day. The next morning, though, I decided that my garbage creation needs more love, so I got started on totally recoloring it. This is going to take a while to finish, but I'll get there eventually.
- I read an article in The New Yorker titled The Land of the Large Adult Son, so I drew yet another shitty picture of my large adult son. It's a little crazy that it's 2017 and I still don't know how to draw Ganondorf correctly, but again, I'll get there eventually.
