"Uninspired" and "unimaginative" are strong words, but I'm not sure how else to describe Oceanhorn. The game is like an experiment in what it might look like if the world of Wind Waker were recreated with the gameplay mechanics of Bastion, but the product is completely lacking in charm and polish. I understand that Oceanhorn began life as a mobile game, so I probably shouldn't judge it too harshly for not giving the player any sense of tactile satisfaction in performing its basic actions, like swinging a sword or sailing, but the experience of playing the game feels strangely lifeless.
