Re: Hades Redux
Jan. 6th, 2021 08:04 amI have found the appeal of Hades, and it is the appeal of resource management and admin and checking things off lists.
There's an in-game lore manual with entries that are unlocked after you defeat a certain number of whatever, collect a certain number of whatever, talk to whoever a certain number of times, and so on. The game has flashy graphics but is largely repetitive and difficult through artificially imposed means, but I enjoy making progress on unlocking the lore manual.
I am very bad at the game, but I am very good at management and lists and admin, and now I'm wondering if it's possible for me to "complete" Hades without ever actually finishing it.
As for the game's larger story, I just assume that everything I see in fancomics and fan art is canon, and that works for me.
ETA: It turns out that everything I saw in fancomics and fan art did in fact turn out to be canon. Hot damn.
