Damn I love it when people I know create things and put them out into the world.
Damn it feels good to see my fellow writers get attention and positive feedback.
I just got paid for a big translation project, so this morning I started a slush fund that I can use to buy multiple copies of my friends' books, both now and in the future. One copy will be for me, which I will definitely expect to get signed, and the rest are to boost pre-order sales and to put in the various Little Free Libraries around the city. I might not actually read people's books, because not everything is (or should be) for me, but hot damn it makes me so fucking excited to be on a first-name basis with published authors.
