The Green Knight

I held off on watching The Green Knight because the trailer is stupid and all the reviews I read were unfavorable, but I finally sat down with it this weekend. It's fantastic. I think it's comparable to Crimson Peak in three ways:

You've Heard of "Nintendo Games Never Go On Sale,"

Now get ready for the sequel, "Japanese visual novels never go on sale."

I'm going through a lot of literary fiction at the moment, and it's great, but I also want to read something unapologetically trashy. To make a long story short, I just paid $40 to download some anime garbage onto my Nintendo Switch.

No I will not say what visual novel it was.

Just kidding! It's Code: Realize − Guardian of Rebirth. The premise is very silly, but the game always seems to end up on lists of visual novel recommendations. I played about half an hour last night, and I can say with full confidence that the execution is just as silly as the premise. Which is exactly what I signed up for.

While I was on the Nintendo Switch store, I saw that the 2D story platformer Journey of the Broken Circle is currently on sale for 49 cents. I've heard it compared to Thomas Was Alone, which is as good of a recommendation as any, so I downloaded a copy of that too, and so far it's very chill and relaxing.
