The Adventures of Peaches, Part Nine
Jul. 27th, 2022 04:39 pmI hit a wall in Elden Ring. This wall is an optional boss who isn’t crucial to anyone’s plotline, but defeating him is important to me for complicated lore-related reasons I might have to explain in another post.
This optional boss is the Omenkiller in the Village of the Albinaurics. I know these are two meaningless fantasy words, but basically this is a large muscular man with horns (or maybe just his helmet has horns idk) who wields a giant meat cleaver in each hand. The meat cleavers also have horns, because fashion. Like his Dark Souls counterpart, my beloved Capra Demon, the Omenkiller will almost certainly kill you if he gets close enough to land a hit. It’s therefore necessary to use ranged attacks if you want to survive the fight.
I’ve been pissing through arrows and firebombs in this game, but I think it’s time to get good at magic. In order to do so, however, Peaches needs to be slightly more intelligent than a rock. I therefore spent yesterday evening catching up on various podcasts while level grinding.
For the record, I’m starting to get annoyed by the difficulty level of Elden Ring. I think it might be time for Peaches to take a short vacation in Jarburg in the near future.
