2025 Writing Log, Part Twelve
Mar. 22nd, 2025 08:29 am- I have an essay about Elden Ring and dark academia in the latest issue of Bloodletter Magazine (here). I think probably no one will read this, but it was super fun to write.
- I finished the editing and layout for my zine In Praise of Moss: An Argument for Sustainable Disability Positivity. I sent the file to the printer and put a digital version on Itchio (here).
- I posted the second chapter of my FFVII story “What if you romanced one of the failed Jenova experiments in Nibelheim?” on AO3 (here). I forgot how much I love mundane horror comedy, and writing this story is pure joy.
- I'm working on a full-page Breath of the Wild illustration for the gaming issue of a monthly indie art + writing anthology zine (whose call for submissions is here). Hopefully I can finish this piece next week and make the deadline.
I had a rough week and didn’t do anything else worth mentioning. I have nothing but appreciation for all the writers and artists and game developers who create work that allows people to calm down and chill out and escape, if only for a few hours.
