You're welcome! When I review, mostly I hit what *I* would want to know, instead of trying to English-major-essay my way through it all. Are characters likable? is there a major flaw? Did I particularly like something? I don't have to do fifteen pull quotes for my thesis, I just want an overview.
Amazon is evil and drama is everywhere, honestly. I'm working on spreading out my book buying (or just going to the library instead, as my local libraries are extremely well-funded and what they don't have they can get, in addition to having very robust online offerings) and I don't know that I'll ever really be free of Kindle, not least of which because I eye B&N cautiously right now and the authors I really enjoy in romance are often digital-only* but I'm trying to make sure I don't contribute more to the problem than I have to.
* Yes, indie storefronts and Calibre onto a Kobo or something, but that's. So much friction. So much management and personal backups and then you get stuff like indie storefronts folding, and....I know resisting capitalism takes work but sometimes this is not the work I want to do, I just want to read trashy fluff. I realize this makes me problematic.
