Absolutely not pathetic! Comments (and communicating in general) are hard! Like you want to express how much you enjoyed The Awesome Thing without being weird or tactless or something. Heck, I get really shy about responding to said comments because wow, a real person took the time to read my stuff and say something! I want to spend time letting them know I appreciate that without... rambling or just saying "Thanks!! 🥰" or also being weird.
