Reddit freaking loves this game, and it has haunted my backlist like no other, but I don't expect to ever finish it. The UUururghHAGHSDAFSDhdhfasdfhsls and hehes were always kinda funny to me but the pacing was a serious barrier. The chapter with the businessman and his new wife having constant misunderstandings was such a slog. If it gets slower than that, forget about it.
I think this game came out at a time when there wasn't a good variety of translated JVN available on mainstream platforms and VN in general was still relatively niche. I wonder if some of the adulation/nostalgia is a holdover from that.
