For my Breath of the Wild Coffeeshop AU story, most of what I've been researching is how gentrification works in the neighborhoods around American universities located in urban areas. Why bother to include a Ganondorf character if you don't make him evil, you know? But I also did a bit of more lighthearted research into what the interior of the café might look like.
I was thinking about the trend of contemporary design in which brutalist concrete walls and exposed brick surfaces are softened by plants and antique furniture. This "ruins reclaimed by nature" vibe feels very Breath of the Wild to me. Here are some fun examples with lovely photography:
