Still... Goodreads definitely has problems! Posting a review there feels like crafting a lovingly homecooked meal and then tossing the plate directly into an open sewer. I've been on-and-off posting short, specific, and positive reviews on Goodreads for the past seven years, and I think I've gotten a total of maybe four "likes" during that time. Meanwhile, the absolute worst opinions always seem to find their way to the top, and that's when people even read the book they're reviewing at all. I'm sure there are subcultures on Goodreads where people are sane, but I haven't encountered them. The good thing you have going on there is rare and precious, I think.
