I know of a guy who publishes... god what was it. 2 erotic shorts a day? And he uses AI to help with the sex scenes now because he's so tired of writing them. He also does AI gen covers. And I'm like... dude, you do you, but why? His royalties weren't that great for the volume either.
I don't get it at all, but if they wanna get into an arms race with the bots, go for it.
Also cozy is hell, I thought oh what a fun genre I want to try this, and I have yet to get through one book. I need my atrocities.
