- On Wednesday I gave a public lecture at a big regional arts college. I've been preparing for this for months. I wrote an 8,000 word essay, edited it down to about 4,700 words, and then memorized it. I've been scanning (and stealing) images for weeks, and I'm proud of how pretty my slideshow turned out to be. The talk didn't go perfectly, but I did okay. These things are more about the boozy lunches and dinners afterward than they are about the actual presentation, and I got to have some really interesting conversations with a handful of professional artists and their students.
- I finished the fifth and final part of my comic about the Wind Waker final boss battle, and then I recolored each of the separate parts from the line art so that I could post them all together (link). Probably I am the only person who thinks this comic is funny, but that's okay. I am a unique and special snowflake who makes unique and special snowflake comics about fifteen year old games, whatever. Everyone needs a hobby.
That's all for this week. Idk, I'm feeling ambivalent about fandom at the moment.
