Let's Draw Zelda Characters from Memory!!

Anime USA is a mid-size anime convention normally held in my neighborhood of DC every year on Halloween weekend. This year they're breaking from tradition and doing it on the second weekend of December, and I want to try to have a small informal event in the hotel lobby. The theme is going to be "Let's Draw Zelda Characters from Memory," and the idea is that I bring a bunch of art supplies and people can come and, you know, draw Zelda characters from memory.
This is what I need to do to prepare...
- scout the location
- decide on a date and time
- decide on a hashtag
- write up an event announcement to post on Tumblr
- create a graphic banner for this announcement
This is what I need to get...
- a bunch of pens
- cups to hold the pens
- artist cards (maybe fifty?)
- clipboards (maybe four?)
This is what I need to make...
- a small poster
--- buy poster board
--- buy Crayola markers
- random character cards
--- make a list of characters
--- cut some Bristol board into small pieces
--- get a box (or something) to hold the cards
The idea behind the random card selection is that, if you suddenly show up and ask a bunch of people to draw a Zelda character, you'll just get a bunch of Links, and maybe some people would like more of a challenge.
I don't actually expect anyone to respond to the event announcement on Tumblr, but maybe some strangers will walk by and become interested. In any case, this is mostly a test run for Katsucon in February, which is a much larger con with a much more vibrant atmosphere.
