2017 Weekly Writing Log, Part Nine
Mar. 12th, 2017 07:55 pmThis week I played a bunch of Zelda and wrote a bunch of meta. Also!
- I posted the seventh chapter of The Marriage of Lanayru to AO3 and the sixth chapter to FFN. I've significantly altered the way I proofread, and I'm starting to see fewer typos and redundancies when I go back to edit each chapter for the final FFN post. The story is still stupid and my writing still sucks, but what can you do.
- I posted the fourth part of the Wind Waker Final Boss Battle comic. Only one more to go! My style is laughably inconsistent, and I'm probably going to have to start over from the linework if I want to put all of the segments together in one post, but I'll worry about that when the time comes.
- I posted the second entry in my Breath of the Wild sketch diary. Maybe "sketch diary" isn't the right expression for what I'm doing so much as "staring at my tv screen and copying character designs," but whatever, it's all good.
- My stories and drawings are complete shit, and I say this as a narcissist who has no use for modesty. It constantly amazes me that anyone cares enough to like and reblog my stuff, so I drew a comic about what a simultaneously alienating and uplifting experience online fandom can be.
- I commissioned Miraculoustang on Tumblr to draw Peach because I love her style and I am always thirsty for quality Mario art. She took the commission and produced the piece quickly, which I appreciate, and the end result is really cool. It didn't get a lot of notesbecause people have no taste for some reason, but I love my beautiful wife.
I'm working on other things, but I am lazy and progress is slow. I could probably get more done if I stopped playing Breath of the Wild, but that's just not going to happen.
