Balthazar wanted to go to Space Camp but never said anything because he dreaded the possibility of going on a road trip to Florida with his cousins. His mother knew this and sometimes teased him by suggesting that she and his aunts were thinking of taking the family to Disney World.
Space Camp is very much an upper middle class sort of thing, and Ceres would most likely have embraced her wealthy family’s disdain for the upper middle class when she was at the appropriate age for Space Camp. She probably wouldn’t have spent her summers in the United States at all.
If Ceres had been alive during the time Balthazar came from, he probably would never have met her...
...unless??
Anyway, I started writing the next story arc of The Demon King not even five minutes after I posted the final chapter of Malice. It feels good to come back to the story after a four-month hiatus.
