All right, let's talk about Peaches!

Peaches is the second character I made for Elden Ring. The default male character looks remarkably like Toshiro Mifune, so I named my first character "Toshiro Mifune." Toshiro Mifune was cast into oblivion when I deleted Elden Ring from my PS4 because I couldn't figure out what was going on and didn't understand what was supposed to be fun about the game.

Seventy hours of Dark Souls Remastered later, I decided to try Elden Ring again. Having realized how soft and squishy the default male character is, I decided to name him "Peaches." So far, Peaches has been more successful than Toshiro Mifune.

The goal of Peaches is to ride around on his horse(?) Torrent and discover the various Sites of Grace, which serve as fast travel points. The game tells you to follow "the guidance of Grace," golden beams that emanate from the Sites of Grace, but Peaches is following the actual roads on the ground. This is not always possible, because sometimes there are dragons, but Peaches and Torrent are doing their best.

My goal for yesterday was to ride north along the cliffs outside the first castle dungeon in order to make it to the Academy of Raya Lucaria, which is a whole-ass wizard school. I managed to make it inside but died fairly quickly. Poor Peaches is only Level 25, and just about everything kills him with one hit.

My goal for today is to ride north past the magic academy in order to find Windmill Village. This is apparently a good spot to grind for runes, which are the game's currency and experience points. Apparently, you can just walk up and start murdering villagers. Sounds like a plan!
