Lush, audacious, erratic, and endlessly enticing, the text consists of three consecutive fragments of the life of a barbarian, somehow managing, against all odds, to hit a spot that’s impossible to reach by more conventional means.
On one hand, I'm wary of "outsider literature" written by American white men with blogs on Substack. On the other hand, this hole of literary dark fantasy fiction inspired by the fragmented and nonlinear format of Dark Souls appears to have been made specifically for me. I just ordered both of these books, and I'm looking forward to finding out how deep the hole actually goes.
