It's my birthday today, and I'd like to celebrate by sharing some of the things I've made this year!
If you'd like me to mail you some of my zines, please send me a DM here or on Tumblr (or Twitter) and let me know what you'd like and what address I should use. You don't have to tell me your real name if you don't want to - the Post Office doesn't mind, and neither do I. I have several sheets of international stamps, and it's no trouble for me to send stuff outside of the United States. This is what I've got:
Ghost Stories (link to Etsy)
This is a collection of thirteen very short stories that occupy a liminal space between autobiographical nonfiction and creepypasta. These stories aren't so much "horror" as they are magical realism, and none of them are explicit - but some of them are kind of, you know, queer.
Haunted Haiku (link to Etsy)
This is a fifty-page chapbook collecting about 150 horror-themed haiku. I personally think these haiku are more campy than scary, but I've had people tell me that they got really creeped out by some of them.
Legend of Comics (link to Etsy)
This is a selection of some of the Legend of Zelda comics and art I posted on Tumblr between 2014 and 2018. What can I say, it's all trash.
Summer Break (link to my blog)
This is my unofficial translation of Hiromi Kawakami's 1998 short story Natsu yasumi. It's a Studio Ghibli style celebration of the natural world and a meditation on coping with and recovering from mental illness; and, regardless of the quality of my translation, the original story is lovely.
This is all totally for free, by the way, with no strings attached. It costs almost nothing to make or to mail these zines, and it would make me happy to share my work with anyone who's interested.
