This is my prompt for the Press Start fanfic exchange:
It's been six years since I wrote anything for this game, wow. I used to play it all the time, but I left a lot of things behind when I moved to Washington DC, including my Game Boy Advance. At one point I tried to get into the iOS version of Final Fantasy VI, but it's... not great.
I'm still very fond of all these characters, though. This person says that they enjoy fluff and slice-of-life stories, which is perfect for me. At the moment I'm trying to think of a scenario that can include all of the requested characters and still have a sense of forward momentum.
Final Fantasy VI
I still spend so much time thinking about this game, even after many playthroughs… so many various unanswered questions, especially surrounding the War of the Magi, relics, and the Warring Triad. Any of these questions explored in context of prompts would be exciting!

- Celes Chere & Cid del Norte Marquez - Always wondered what their relationship was like back when Celes was a general and first getting infused. Cid seems like he was a very different person back then. They both do…how did they change each other?
- Edgar Roni Figaro & Macías “Mash” Rene Figaro | Sabin Rene Figaro - Old twins journeying together in the new world for some reason is a fun thought. Maybe wandering into the Ancient Castle ruins?
- Edgar Roni Figaro & Setzer Gabbiani - Forever enthralled by the potential friendship of these two engineering nerds. Same prompt as the last! Just different dynamics.
- Relm Arrowny - How does an artist used to magical augmentations to her work make up for it in a magicless world? She’s a creative soul. Surely she has some ideas.
