Date: 2020-10-28 05:52 pm (UTC)Also relevant story, but the one and only time I went to Dragon Con back in 2017, one of my friends and I called it a night and took an elevator back to our rooms. We were accompanied by 10 other cosplay nerds, most of them drunk, and when the elevator randomly stopped at a floor no one was getting off at, the doors opened to a cosplay trio as David S Pumpkins and the skeletons. Both my friend and I were all IT'S DAVID PUMPKINS!!! and he went "THAT'S RIGHT!" and one of the skeletons started a boombox with the song and started the dance. Once the doors closed, a person on the elevator was genuinely confused and asked, "who was that?" and literally everyone else just started quoting the skit and it was a level of amazing craziness one can only find at conventions.
