Mad Father

rynlingMad Father is an RPG Maker survival horror game about a cute girl living in an isolated mansion with her father, who is not 100% completely sane.
The game was remastered (if that's the right term) with updated graphics and sound design and released on Nintendo Switch last October. I'm not sure if it's worth $10, but the horror is delightfully cheesy and the jump scares are a lot of fun. I think the game is supposed to take about two to three hours to play, but I'm going slowly because the gameplay elements are somewhat poorly designed and I need to consult a walkthrough.
I started playing Mad Father because I couldn't deal with the handheld controls for Skyward Sword, so I finally bit the bullet and hooked the Switch up to the television. Skyward Sword's motion controls are better than they were for the Wii, but they're not great. I anticipate becoming extremely frustrated. What can you do.
Anyway, while I was playing Skyward Sword, I was thinking, You know what would look great on a giant screen? A 16-bit survival horror game.
And honestly? It's fantastic.And much more fun to play than Skyward Sword.
