Fall 2021 Writing Goals

rynling- I want to make a list of the stories I’ve bookmarked on AO3 so that I can make sure I’ve properly annotated and commented on everything. I’ve been very shy about leaving comments for the past three years, and I’d like to try to work on that.
- Last month I wrote something like a Halloween story for Ocarina of Time, and I’d like to commission a friend to illustrate it so that I can post it in October.
- I want to try to participate in Yuletide this year. I already have my requests written, and I am excited.
- Finally, I’m working on a new original novel. I’d like to have the first six chapters finished and polished by the end of the year, and I’d like to create visual designs for the two main characters.

I've been going through a lot of Hollow Knight fic recently and leaving simple one-line comments like "I love this," and I'm trying to work my way up from there. If nothing else, it's lovely to be able to go back through work I admire. Like right now, I'm re-reading your FFVI fic "The Wings That You Burn" and slowly constructing a reply, one sentence fragment at a time. If I'm lucky, you might get an actual comment from me... maybe in a week or two lol.

Like you want to express how much you enjoyed The Awesome Thing without being weird or tactless or something. Heck, I get really shy about responding to said comments because wow, a real person took the time to read my stuff and say something! I want to spend time letting them know I appreciate that without... rambling or just saying "Thanks!! 🥰" or also being weird.
Anyhow, I 100% feel you. And that's awesome you're easing back into it with Hollow Knight fics! I hope you're enjoying them 💕 I bet the writers are loving your comments, too - I would!
