Well lads, it's happening. I'm finally playing a FromSoftware game.

I intended to play Dark Souls Remastered, but then Elden Ring conveniently just came out, so here we are. I'm really enjoying myself. The combat is super fun and very satisfying. There's an option to turn off the blood graphics, but I am definitely keeping the splatter.

Last night I got a horse, whom I already love forever. Tonight I would like to get a map.

Oh my god, I hope you have a blast. From Software has some of my favorite lore for storytelling in general and Elden Ring is no exception. Torrent is a good boy. I can't wait until you to meet other characters. Also there's a particular boss fight that made me think of you, but I'll eagerly await you discovering that 💕💕💕

I should warn you that I am very slow at adapting to new systems! I think it took me a solid month to make it off the Great Plateau the first time I played Breath of the Wild, no joke.

I went with the most basic default character build in Elden Ring, and then I spent a good hour trying not to die or get lost in the Linear Cave of Tutorial. When I emerged into the world, the first thing anyone said to me was that I'm "maidenless." Like dude you're not wrong but you don't have to say it to my face.

Anyway tell me who the boss is so I can look them up. I love spoilers!!

The mimic tear boss fight in Nokron!! I swear it's a homage to the Dark Link fight in Ocarina of Time. Also Starscourage Radahn gave me some Ganon vibes.
