2022 Writing Log 14

- I did another round of editing on Demon King Chapter 8, and I got started on Chapter 9.
- I’m continuing to write my original horror story “The Greenhouse.” It’s slow going, and I’ve only been writing one or two paragraphs a day. This is the final story I’m going to include in my botanical horror zine, and I’ll commission the cover illustration once the first draft is complete.
- Speaking of commissions! I commissioned Doc Hollibee on Twitter to draw Zelda with a sword, and (she did good work). I liked this so much that I also requested a commission of Ceres from The Demon King. Fingers crossed the artist accepts it!
- ShelfWornDrawn on Instagram finished my book stack commission (here), and I was inspired to post a short annotated list of the titles on my book review blog (here).
- I posted the sixth illustration in my Wiztober series on Tumblr (here).
- I edited and posted my very short reviews of very short (and very free) Game Boy style story games on my blog. Here’s the list so far:
Horror Games:
A Dark Winter Wander (link)
Opossum Country (link)
Waking Nightmare (link)
A Time for Giving (link)
Adventure Games:
Capacity (link)
Deep Forest (link)
Red Trees (link)
Maybe, once I’m done playing and reviewing all the Game Boy games in my Itchio library, I’ll make a zine or something? I think it would be cool to draw my own pixel art cover maybe.
I’ve been having trouble getting into a routine since we moved into the new house, and it’s been difficult to write. Or rather, it’s been difficult to write anything substantial. I’m also exhausted. I feel like I really need to see some trees right now, and I’m tempted to make a bad financial decision and go on holiday away from the city.
