rynling"I hate themed art challenges," I say, already thinking of a themed art challenge to do next year.
I really love drawing bottles and teacups and plants, so I think it might be cool to do a potion-themed challenge. I'm not wired to create and complete one piece of art per day, but I could probably do something like this in stages:
(1) Come up with themes
(2) Collect bottle references
(3) Collect floral references
(4) Collect fantasy references
(5) Collect color palettes
(6) Rough sketch
(7) Clean sketch
(8) Ink
(9) Color
(10) Captions
I think it's probably better to finish one step at a time as opposed to finishing one piece at a time. The push to produce one completed piece at a time is how I went off the rails with the wizard drawing challenge. If I do one one step per month, I can probably maintain momentum.
