The redraw of my first ever Hollow Knight fanart

This is an epic redraw.
I feel like, right now, I'm on the "four years ago" end of this spectrum, and I'm really struggling to push myself forward. I'm thinking that maybe it might be worth drawing the same thing over and over while trying to push the boundaries a little more each time. Perhaps it might be fun to try this with my "October 2023 Potion Catalog" project, which is the same basic physical object with a lot of possible variations.
I get the feeling that a large part of my problem is that I'm having trouble settling on a style, so I might want to do an additional lowkey challenge that's like, draw a tree in a different artist's style every day (or every weekend, at least). This would be useful because, as much as I love trees, I can't draw them for the life of me.
Trees are also good because, for some reason, a good 20% percent of the people I'm mutuals with on Instagram are South Asian bonsai gardening accounts. Why are bonsai popular in South Asia? I have no idea. But I love their photos and would be very happy to draw portraits of tiny potted trees.
If that doesn't work I can always try different ways of drawing sword lesbians with beautiful hair. This is another topic of endless fascination for me, and who knows, it might even be good for Instagram's algorithm.
ETA: Regarding South Asian bonsai accounts, I think the answer is simply that one out of every eight or nine people on the planet lives on the Indian subcontinent. I guess it's the same for the question, "Why are Japanese people so good at drawing?" Like, it's not that Japanese people are particularly good at drawing, but rather that there are just a lot of people in Japan. Idk, Instagram isn't the "global society" I envisioned when I was younger, but I'll take it.
