The Adventures of Peaches, Part 22

Peaches has returned to the Haligtree, which continues to be phenomenally beautiful. The Haligtree area is a castle-like structure in and around a giant tree, and the architecture is Art Nouveau with strong Rivendell vibes. I mean, if Rivendell were dead and rotting and covered in cancer mushrooms. But still phenomenally beautiful! I love the ambient leaves and mushroom spores floating in the air.
I think this (completely optional) area is supposed to be difficult, but Peaches is immensely OP. He has a strength+intelligence build properly augmented with the appropriate equipment, so whatever he doesn't one-hit kill with his sword he can utterly destroy by continuously firing a comet-laser out of his staff. That being said, Peaches is still a coward who patiently picks away at dangerous enemies with arrows from a safe vantage point and takes down bosses by sitting on the sidelines while buffing his summon clone, Peaches 2.
I recently listened to a podcast conversation in which people were saying that Elden Ring is the most "accessible" of the FromSoft games. While that may technically be true, Elden Ring is not "accessible" by any stretch of the imagination. And that's a damn shame. Not only is the game truly and magnificently awe-inspiring, but it's also been my experience that it's much more fun to play when it's challenging but not brutally punishing.
