As established in this classic Tumblr post from 2017, the word "Minotaur" is a combination of the name of the monster's father, Minos, and the word for bull, távros. What would the Minotaur have been called if the monster were female?
I don't know anything about how Ancient Greek works as a language, but the Minotaur's mother is Pasiphaë, and the word for cow is ageláda. Is there perhaps a female-gendered portmanteau of these words that would equal "Minotaur" in brevity and impact?
I am asking for reasons of gay.
