A kind person left a short but lovely comment on one of my stories on AO3 yesterday afternoon. I don't even remember writing that story, The Price of Wisdom, so I sat down and read it.

It's good! It's really good. I'm genuinely surprised that I was able to write something that good.

I think, for a long time, I've had this idea that my work isn't popular because I'm deeply untalented, and that I haven't received support because I don't deserve support. I'm starting to get the sense that perhaps this isn't the case. I think what might be going on instead is that a lot of anime fandoms and anime-adjacent fandoms favor a certain style of YA fiction, and that anyone who doesn't cater to that YA style is harshly penalized. This is especially tricky for me, as I'm not interested in the sex lives of teenagers. I should probably find a different fandom to write for.

So. I wonder if anyone is up for Elden Ring monster fucking.

Hooray!!

That being said, I may have made a mistake by going onto the tags on AO3. There is no sex in Elden Ring, and most of the main characters are related. Like a poor innocent lamb, I thought this would deter fic writers. I'm sure you can imagine how wrong I was.
