rynlingWhile working on his dissertation, a graduate student at Miskatonic University translates passages of a gnostic text colloquially known as the Necronomicon. This causes him to grow tentacles. The new Classics Department administrative assistant inadvertently discovers this predicament, and he becomes very interested in the promising young scholar’s “research.”
...Maybe this isn’t the most original idea, but I’m going to write it anyway. Taking into consideration that I’ve given up on respectability, I decided to model the POV character on a celebrity crush, and I’m not even going to change his name. No shame!!!!!
I’m aiming for a 4k-word manuscript for tradpub submissions. If I can’t find a venue by the end of the summer, it would be fun to add another 2k words for altpub.I’m already imagining the cover.
