- I posted Chapter 3 of The Demon King on AO3 (here). Around this time last summer, I apparently cannibalized several earlier drafts of the story while haphazardly copying and pasting bits and pieces into this “chapter.” I suppose I assumed I would deal with this mess later. Now is “later,” I guess. This chapter required a fair amount of work to set right.

- Chapter 4 of The Demon King was easier to clean up. I posted it on AO3 (here).

- I did the first round of edits on “The Annotated Kitab al-Azif,” my Lovecraftian monster romance story. Thankfully, I was to cut it down to 5k words. I’m going to give the story some time to rest while I do research on submission venues.

- I resumed work on my essay for the Hyrule Fashion Anthology zine. This essay has been through the wringer, but the mods have been incredibly supportive. I’m extremely grateful for their kindness.

- I made significant contributions to a roundtable discussion on queer manga hosted by Women Write About Comics. This ended up becoming a surprisingly interesting discussion, and I think (I hope!) it’s going to gain some traction on social media when it’s published.

- This was actually published a while ago, but I contributed to the May recommendation roundtable at Women Write About Comics (here). I recommended the newest book in the Legends of Localization series, which is about how Undertale was translated into Japanese.

- I also contributed to the May roundtable at Sidequest (here), where I wrote about Citizen Sleeper and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. This discussion got a mention on the weekly roundup post at Rock Paper Shotgun (here)!

- I posted part three of my “Seeded Ground” botanical horror minicomic on Tumblr (here). This isn’t the best art in the world, but it feels good to make progress.

- And I posted part four of the minicomic on Tumblr (here). This is the nice cozy bit before the horror twist.

I also dropped off copies of my two current zines at South Street Art Mart in Philadelphia and Atomic Books in Baltimore, and I picked up a bunch of interesting new comics while I was at it. Indie bookshops tend to be hit or miss for me, but I really love both of these stores.
