Moss & Green

I had a rough week this week. The less said about this the better, but it got so bad that I was finally like, "Fuck it. I'm driving to Brooklyn to go to the moss store."

So there is a moss store in Williamsburg, and it's actually really nice:

The best way to describe Moss & Green is that, as soon as you step inside, you're in Tokyo. What I mean is that Tokyo is filled with plant stores exactly like this, with the exact same flooring and lighting and layout and smell. Also the owner never makes me feel weird about having a conversation in Japanese, which I appreciate. Because there's no real culture of houseplants in America, I don't know the English words for a lot of things, and it's infinitely easier to talk about houseplant care like pruning, propagating, and balancing soil pH in Japanese. I always buy something small in the store... but not the moss, which I'm afraid I would kill instantly.

Idk, sometimes you just want to go on a nice car ride to the moss store to have a chill conversation about houseplants.
