Today is Rosh Hashanah, and my father-in-law sent me this on Whatsapp:

My father-in-law spends most of the year in Russia for work, and he got this from one of his friends. The Cyrillic text says "Happy Jewish New Year," and these gentlemen look like they're having fun. I bet Rosh Hashanah in Russia is wild.

My only question is, What's Santa doing there??

I just died laughing at this image. I also sent it to my half-Russian bf for reasons. He left my ass on read, so I imagine he's sighing and shaking his head at work. This is what he gets for sending me Warhammer 40k memes with zero context.

I'm also curious as to what Santa is doing there, but the mystery and Dada-esque humor of this is going to get me through Friday, so many thanks for that. And happy Rosh Hashanah!

You are 100% valid in being a little afraid of it, because it is A Lot. My bf predominately reads the novels and plays the video games that take place in the 40k universe, but hasn't invested in the actual tabletop game. Yet. I have contemplated getting a figure or two of his favorite characters, but I worry I'll also come home one day and find he's amassed An Entire Literal Army of figures and handpainting each one on the living room floor.

... I guess there are worse and more problematic hobbies to have in comparison, but anyhow.

If you're curious as to how batshit insane the lore is, he sent me this and this earlier in the week about a character he (and apparently the whole fandom) calls "Bobby G". I feel like I should have a better grasp of what the fuck happens in 40k due to the daily shitposts he sends me, but I have more questions and am scared to get answers for them lolsob

I know I'm running quite late on this, but may you have a sweet and prosperous New Year!
