I guess technically the post is still "blazed" until noon today, but it I'm going to call it at 71 notes, most of which were received during Tumblr primetime between 5-8pm East Coast time. That's not bad, and it's far more than I expected for something that would have had very little inorganic growth to begin with.

Maybe it's cringe to promote your own work, but honestly, what's the harm in showing people the beautiful cover art along with a link to a free zine. Haters gonna hate.

Tumblr sent me a set of metrics on the blazed post, and the engagement ratio was really embarrassing. In the 24 hours that the post was blazed, it got over 4000 impressions, but only three reblogs and sixty likes. Also, exactly zero people clicked the link to Itchio. I think Tumblr isn't the best platform to promote original work, maybe.

Then again, it was a hell of a week to try to promote anything on social media.

I feel like Tumblr is such a feast-or-famine thing, I wouldn't even know where to start trying to get traction on something.
