ENDER LILIES GOT A SEQUEL LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO.

This is an unpopular opinion (apparently?), but Ender Lilies is a perfect action/exploration game. While it's true that I probably enjoy flawed games like Hollow Knight and Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring more, I still can't get over how pristinely gorgeous and immaculately constructed and endlessly fascinating Ender Lilies is. I had no idea what to expect from the game, which I picked up because it was on sale, and it was one of the biggest surprises of my life. As long as they don't sexualize the child protagonist I can't imagine that Ender Magnolia won't be perfect as well. And, based on the trailer, it looks like you can pet the dogs!

And also, THE ELDEN RING DLC HAS A TRAILER AND RELEASE DATE!!

I thought of you immediately when I saw the Elden Ring announcement.

*goes and plops Ender Lilies into the list of games to check out when I am less buried in backlog*

It's funny, I only found out about the new Elden Ring trailer because I saw a sudden burst of Elden Ring fan art on Tumblr. I was like, "I wonder if there's been any news about the DLC release date," and indeed there was. Most of the time I don't mourn the slow death of Twitter, but I have to admit that was where I got a lot of my news about books and video games.

Fair warning, Ender Lilies is extremely difficult and punishing. I put in the time to git gud because this is the game where your dash attack consists of you being carried forward in the arms of Kain Highwind. I think probably you're one of the only people who will understand when I describe the game as: You play as Child Rydia surrounded by the Worst Adults. It's a great concept, and I wish it were more accessible.
