Bloodborne, Part Six

The sewer section of Central Yharnam is relatively small, which is a shame, HOWEVER. One of the tunnels has a pig! A giant sewer pig!! Of course it’s in an advanced stage of rot, and its skin is sloughing off in a very unsettling way, but what a joyful thing to find in the sewers.
I guess I now know what happened to the legs of the sewer zombies. (ಠ ͜ʖಠ)
I’m still a shitty casual gamer who is bad at games, but Cherry is a decent fighter. He’s very quick on his feet, and his attacks are quick as well. Dark Souls and Elden Ring are difficult to navigate without a shield because your character moves so slowly, but I can play Bloodborne like I play Breath of the Wild. In fact, I’d even say that Cherry has an advantage over Link because he can dodge roll. Also he has a gun!
Having defeated the giant sewer pig with ease, I decided to go back and challenge the Cleric Beast again. Now that Cherry has “Insight,” he can summon other characters, and I got an NPC called Father Gascoigne to help me out with the fight. Cherry’s attacks still didn’t do much damage, but Father Gascoigne was an absolute savage. The werewolf went down in less than two minutes.
Thus empowered, I went back into the sewers and climbed out the other end to the boss arena. The boss turned out to be Father Gascoigne himself! This was a super fun duel. Gascoigne was very aggressive about using his gun to interrupt my attacks, which is apparently how you’re supposed to use the gun. I did not know that. Thanks Father Gascoigne! In the second phase of the fight, he turns into a werewolf. I was only able to win against him in this form by taking cover behind a tree, waiting for the enemy AI to try to attack me through the tree, and then using a ranged attack during the cooldown. I suppose this was cheating, but still, what an amazing thrill that fight was.
