- I completed the first two (out of eleven) scenes of Chapter 17 of An Unfound Door. I also did another set of edits on Chapter 11. And I also commissioned the artist who originally inspired one of the character designs to create an illustration, which is a major life achievement for me.
- I completed the third and fourth (out of six) scenes of “Everyday Heroines,” the story I’m writing for the Residents of the Wild zine. This story is about Gerudo Town in Tears of the Kingdom, and I’ve been enjoying spending time in such a vibrant and lovely place.
- I completed the first draft of “The Airbnb of Adachigahara,” the story I’m writing for the 13 Days of Halloween zine. This story is about a YouTuber being entrapped by a yamauba mountain demon, and it’s the most fun I’ve had writing a story in a long time. I always have fun writing, so this is really saying something.
- I now have a cover for my upcoming Strange Things Happen in Philadelphia zine! The cover artist is Baltimore’s own Kaylee Rowena, which is such an honor. The cover hasn’t been posted anywhere on social media yet, but it’s (here) if you’d like to see it.
- Inspired by the other sticker-style designs I’ve created recently, I drew a chibi version of Zelda from Skyward Sword. Here in this Year of Our Lord 2024, I’m still trying to figure out how to draw chibis, but I’m getting there. The drawing is on Tumblr (here).
- I’m still working on my big botanical illustration! Hopefully I can finish it this coming week. (This) is where it is right now, with flat colors and no lighting.
- ETA: Same drawing, same flat colors, but with a lighting overlay and a bit more compositional balance: (here). Idk, it could use more plants.
I also finished the spring semester! Huzzah!! I’m starting to fray at the edges, and I need a break.
