Radiotrophic fungi are fungi which can capture gamma rays in melanin and convert it to useful energy much like plants do with chlorophyll and visible light. This action may be able to feed astronauts on long voyages where the amount of visible light is limited.
Coke boars, murder hornets, and now radioactive fungi. The hits just keep rolling.
