It turns out that there isn't a sewer level under Belurat. There is a jail, however! This mini-dungeon does the Mines of Moria trick where it shows you the hazy outline of monumental ruins deep within the expanse of a dark pit, and it's great. Despite the (gross gross gross) living jars, it's truly marvelous to be able to navigate through this environment.
Anyway, while I love the three new sword lesbians, my favorite NPC so far is Thiollier, a perfumer (combination doctor+herbalist+alchemist) who describes himself as "weak as a kitten and thick as two boards." As I understand it, Thiollier's ultimate goal is to sleep forever; and honestly, same. The voice actor's performance for this character is incredible, and I'm going to look him up later to see what other work he's done.
Among other things, Thiollier sells you an interesting perfumer's flask weapon that I'm going to respec my character to be able to use. I'm not in the habit of roleplaying; but, if I could live in the Lands Between, I would love to be a perfumer. Building a beautiful little garden in the ruins of an ancient city seems like it's not the worst thing you could do in the event of a magical apocalypse triggered by the emissaries of elder gods.
