This game is stupid, and I resent it.

Tales of the Abyss

Nope, but not for lack of picking it back up about once a month. One day I'll finish it.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Nope. My intense distaste for the first thirty minutes of this game reminded me that games are supposed to be fun and that I don't have any sort of obligation to play them if I don't enjoy them.

2016 is going to be a good year for games, and life is too short for completionism.

Aha, why do you resent Dawn of Souls? I had my own reasons for abandoning it years ago, but am always interested in hearing about other folks' experiences with the older games (and/or their remakes).

I got a bit farther in Ni no Kuni thanks to my old roommate egging me on, but eventually I hit the overworld and literally fell asleep. Never touched it again.

Expect more Wind Waker in the very near future. So many winds will be woken.

I resent Dawn of Souls for all the grinding it made me do. I also resent that the game decided to make me play almost 30 minutes of the final battle against Chaos before gleefully informing me that I hadn't been doing enough grinding. And then I resent being offered the opportunity for more grinding in the New Game Plus, an invitation that I not-so-politely declined.

Oddly enough, I don't mind grinding (LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT POKÉMON), but I didn't care enough about the story or the characters in Dawn of Souls to feel invested in their growth.

If I get enough money from my tax refund deposits, I am honestly considering picking up a Wii U just for Wind Waker HD. I desire it.

Ahaha, nice. My beef was more with the FFII half of the Dawn of Souls rerelease, wherein walking two steps out of turn at any point on the world map led to immediate curbstomping via level 80 monsters -- some of which didn't even have feet!
