I’m chipping away at a handful of other projects too. Eventually it will be time to go back to work, but now is not that time. I’ve got good winter solstice energy, and I’m going to ride it as far as it takes me. What can I say, it’s always a pleasure to grab another year from the jaws of death.

Thank you so much! Firebird is a beautiful little story, and I'm surprised it hasn't received more positive press. I can't remember how I learned about it myself, to be honest. I was just cleaning out my Steam wishlist during the winter sale and decided to give it a go.

This makes me wonder how many other games there are like Firebird - impeccably crafted and commercially viable, but mysteriously invisible.

I mean there's just so much out there at any given time! I try to scroll through the "new on" stuff in the various digital storefronts and it's just so overwhelming, even with filters. Like, I primarily play RPGs with the occasional foray into puzzle, but sometimes I run across something (Mario Odyssey) that's outside my usual zone but absolutely sucks me in for a week. How will I find those without the scroll?

....discoverability, man. An endless challenge.

Late reply, but I just wanted to say that your What Are You Playing Wednesday posts are a godsend. It’s always a pleasure to read everyone’s comments, and I look forward to it every week. Thanks for keeping this up, despite, you know, everything.

I'm glad you enjoy them! I really like the habit of coming to be with my friends and hear about things they're doing, since most of us have a shared interest of gaming to some degree. :D And I have heard about so many interesting things!
